JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Two women were tased and arrested for fighting with a police officer Thursday.

According to the probable cause affidavit, Felicia Sanders and Shanice Moore were arrested after police say they assaulted a Jonesboro police officer while she was assisting with another incident.

Jonesboro Police say officers tracked down someone who ran from them during a previous stop when a car with three women stopped and began yelling and cursing at the officers.

The affidavit showed that officers told the women multiple times to calm down and stay back.

The suspect that officers chased after became a problem again and while officers were dealing with that suspect, Sanders pushed Officer Duncan and they began fighting.

While the officer was fighting Sanders, Moore then jumped in and began fighting the officer as well.

Both Sanders and Moore were tased to comply with demands. They were both arrested and charged with battery in the 2nd degree against a police, fire, correctional employees.

Bond was set at $7,500 and both ladies have bonded out.

Officer Duncan did suffer a cut underneath her eye and a cut on her lip.
