Jonesboro club applies for dancing permit

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

A Jonesboro nightclub has applied with the state’s Alcoholic Beverage Control board for a permit allowing dancing.

During the week ending March 16, Susan A. Pollard of The Office Grill in Marketplace, 1509 Marketplace Dr., applied for a Dancing on Premises-Private Class A permit.

Mary Robin Casteel, director of the ABC, told Region 8 News that The Office is not the first nor the only club in Craighead to apply for a dancing permit. 

According to a list she provided, the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3354, 2912 Gilmore; Jonesboro Country Club, 1408 E. Nettleton; and Eleanor's Pizzeria, 211 S. Main, also have dancing permits.

Other applications from our area submitted to the ABC during the week ending March 16 included:

  • Bowles Liquor Store, 517 W. Keiser, Osceola: Replacement-Retail Liquor, Retail Beer Off Premises
  • Walgreens #09880, 1500 W. Kingshighway, Paragould: Change of Manager-Retail Beer Off Premises, Small Farm Winery-Retail
