SEARCY, AR (KAIT/KARK) -

The Walmart gas station in Searcy is busy on most days with people driving down Highway 67/167 stopping for gas.

According to Little Rock NBC affiliate KARK, a 70-year-old man was doing just that as he was trying to get to a doctor’s appointment in Little Rock on Friday.

A man approached the victim and according to a Cabot police report, Kenny Woods jumped into the passenger seat and told the victim to drive him to Little Rock.

The report goes on to say the victim drove Woods down the highway until Woods had him pull into the Wendy’s parking lot in Cabot so he could use the restroom.

When the driver got out of the car, Woods took the keys, jumped into the driver’s seat, and drove off, according to the report.

Woods was later arrested for theft of a vehicle and was booked into the Lonoke County Detention Center on a $5,000 bond.
