Man facing criminal attempt to commit murder charges after stabbing

MOUNTAIN HOME, AR (KAIT) -

A Mountain Home man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing. 

According to Mountain Home police, 46-year-old Eric Guynes was arrested after officers found a man with multiple stab wounds. 

According to the release, a 911 call was received at 5:06 a.m. Wednesday regarding a man with multiple stab wounds. 

The victim was located on a property near the intersection of Highway 201 North and North Street.

A little over an hour later, two people were stopped near Cardinal Drive and Spring Street. 

Guynes was detained for the stabbing.  A vehicle matching the suspect’s vehicle was also seized. 

The other person was released and isn't facing any charges.

The victim is currently receiving medical treatment at Baxter Regional Medical Center. His name is being withheld at this time.

Guynes is charged with criminal attempt to commit murder, first-degree battery, first-degree assault, arson, and first-degree criminal mischief. 

Bond was set at $500,000, but he is being held for a parole violation and incarcerated in the Baxter County Detention Center.
