(KAIT/KATV) - After record-setting flooding caused a shutdown two weeks ago, the receding waters mean work can proceed at DeGray Lake.
According to KATV, the central Arkansas lake was forced to close from high waters.
Power was cut and parts of the sewer system were shut down as water covered the boat launches and threatened cabins.
Work began last weekend, and right now, a primary concern is the anchoring system.
"There's a lot of leaves and sticks and other items that come with a lot of high water." David Egleston, Manager, Iron Mountain Lodge and Marina said.
Egleston also said it could take another 8 weeks to finish repairs.
