CONWAY, AR (KAIT/KATV) -

A Central Arkansas man is in trouble in Conway after he reportedly fired a weapon into an occupied vehicle in a possible road rage incident as authorities there ask people to remain calm in situations like that.

According to a report from Little Rock television station KATV, Cornelius Byrd was arrested on suspicion of terroristic threatening after the incident at an apartment complex in Conway.

The incident started at a Walmart in Conway, then continued for about four miles until Byrd and the other person got to the apartment complex.

No one was hurt but police believe there was some sort of "prior altercation or words were exchanged" at the Walmart, KATV reported.

Conway police spokesman LeTresha Woodruff told KATV that police continue to investigate the incident.

"Apparently someone did something to someone else and this is how they settled it. But if something transpired, they should've called the police and allowed us to help sort it out," Woodruff said.
