JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Many children took part in the Jonesboro Fraternal Order of Police Miracle League Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday.
The unique Easter egg hunt is designed for children with special needs or disabilities.
More than 60 kids participated in the egg hunt this year.
Event organizers say fundraisers help the FOP put on the event and this year the community also helped fund another part of the hunt.
"This year we did a buy a basket and we put it out there where if anybody wanted to they could buy a basket," said Jonesboro FOP President Nathan Coleman. "So, we put out there that we needed 40 baskets."
Thanks to community members, nearly 40 children took home special Easter baskets.
The group says they look forward to hosting the event again next year with help from many in the community.
