JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

A Jonesboro church plans to reach out to the community this week.

Pentecostals of Jonesboro will host a drive-thru prayer event on Monday and Tuesday.

The event will be held between 6 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. on both days.

Anyone is invited to stop by the church to pray with members of the congregation.

The church's pastor said his congregation is trying to focus on others in 2018.

He said the planning team came up with the idea for the event as part of that goal.

"There are a lot of people believe in the theory of prayer and we're hoping to demonstrate the practical application of prayer," Pastor Darrell Runyan said.

He says during the event the group simply wants to help anyone who stops by.

"We're not going to ask for their name, we're not going to ask anything about them," he said.  "We just want them to tell us their need and how we can help them pray, that's all this is about."

The church is located at 5312 South Caraway Road and visitors are welcome to stop by the event on their way to work.
