JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

A man arrested during the investigation into an early-morning robbery appeared in court Tuesday.

The suspect, 20-year-old Tobiuse Carato Reynolds of Jonesboro, was arrested following a reported robbery at Kum & Go on East Johnson near the A-State campus Monday just after 4 a.m.

According to court documents, a clerk told Jonesboro police officers the suspect, who he knows as "Tobi", waited for other customers to leave the store and then approached the counter.

The clerk said Reynolds then "lifted up his red hoodie, displaying a black pistol in his waistband, and demanded money from the clerk."

Reynolds reportedly got $332 from the clerk which was put into a plastic bag.

Arkansas State University police officers noticed the suspect a short time later walking east on Johnson away from the store. Officers made contact with Reynolds and found the plastic bag containing the money in the man's pants.

The clerk then identified Reynolds as the suspect.

Reynolds faces a charge of aggravated robbery. His bond was set at $25,000.

He is scheduled to be back in court on April 27.
