JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Investigators say a former Consolidated Youth Services employee accused of molesting a boy "laughed it off" and gave the victim a candy bar.
Cedric J. Wilson, 28, of Jonesboro appeared Monday before Craighead County District Judge Tommy Fowler who found probable cause to charge him with first-degree sexual assault.
According to court documents, Wilson is accused of molesting a boy at CYS, 4220 Stadium Blvd., earlier this month.
The victim told an Arkansas State Police Crimes Against Children investigator that he awoke one night to find Wilson touching his private area.
"He advised that Wilson laughed it off and gave him a candy bar," the probable cause affidavit stated.
A few days later, the victim said Wilson gave him a phone to watch pornography and "wanted to watch him masturbate."
The victim told investigators that later in the evening Wilson "touched his penis, performed oral sex on him, and attempted to get the victim to have sex with him."
The boy claimed Wilson said if he told anyone about the alleged incident he would be "put in a casket." He said Wilson then showed him a pocket knife.
The boy said Wilson made numerous trips in and out of his room for short periods of time on the night of the alleged incident.
"Security footage supplied by the facility showed Wilson entering the victim's room 23 times between the hours of 1 and 3:17 a.m. on March 5," the affidavit stated.
After reading the court documents, Fowler set Wilson's bond at $5,000 and ordered him to appear in circuit court for arraignment on May 25.
