(KAIT) - Two new species of freshwater crayfish have been found in Arkansas and Missouri.

According to research, one of the new species, called Faxonius roberti, is found in the Spring and Strawberry Rivers. It is named in honor of Robert J. DiStefano, with the Missouri Department of Conservation.

The other new species is Faxonius wagneri, which can be found in the Eleven Point River. It is named in honor of Brian K. Wagner, with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.
