Craigslist shuts down personal ads, organization warns of loopholes

LITTLE ROCK, AR (KAIT/KATV) -

An organization in Arkansas wants you to know the fight against sex trafficking is not over.

Congress recently passed a law that allows states and victims to fight it.

Craigslist then decided to get rid of their personals section.

If you now click on the links, it will show you a message that it's not willing to take a risk without jeopardizing other services.

Little Rock organization called PATH, Partners Against Trafficking Humans, says this can still happen in your community.

The organization tells KATV there are still loopholes such as massage ads still being used by predators.

PATH has helped hundreds of sex-trafficking victims in Arkansas.

If you're a victim or know someone who could use help recovering, call police or a local hotline.

On average hotlines receive at least one call every day from victims searching for help.
