(KAIT/NBC) - One Wisconsin school now benefits from a special four-legged friend.
Charlie began working with students in speech and language services at Chippewa Falls Middle School.
Since then, this "best friend" has helped create relationships between students and staff.
Social Emotional Interventionist Carly Rubenzer says every school could benefit from a therapy dog.
"One day, we had a student who was having a really tough day and I thought, I'm going to run and get the dog and just see if it would help diffuse the situation and it worked in like two seconds," Rubenzer said.
Charlie visits the middle school every day except Wednesdays.
