WEST PLAINS, MO (KAIT) - A Missouri man apparently struck out as authorities hit a home run after arresting the man on suspicion of stealing $2,600 worth of baseball equipment and apparel from a high school baseball team earlier this month.
According to a post on the West Plains Police Department Facebook page, Logan Clarke of West Plains was arrested on suspicion of 2nd-degree burglary and felony stealing.
West Plains school officials called police March 12 about the burglary at the school's baseball field house. At least 20 members of the baseball team had items stolen, police said.
Clarke was arrested March 27 after a traffic stop by West Plains police and Howell County deputies. Police later recovered stolen property after interviewing Clarke, the post noted.
A $7,500 bond was set for Clarke and the investigation is ongoing.
