FORREST CITY, AR (KAIT) - A routine audit of sex offenders and a traffic stop led to a sex offender's arrest in Forrest City.
According to the Forrest City Police Department, on March 8 a detective discovered that Steven Henderson was not living at a home on Sunrise Drive like he reported to police.
Shortly after, a judge issued a warrant for Henderson's arrest.
On March 25, Officer Curtis Davis pulled over a vehicle for tags that did not match the vehicle.
Officer Davis immediately recognized Henderson and arrested him after confirming the warrant through dispatch. Several others were in the car with Henderson. They were also arrested for misdemeanor warrants.
Henderson was booked into the St. Francis County Detention Center on charges of failing to register, obstructing governmental operations, and habitual offender.
