BROOKLAND, AR (KAIT) - A Poinsett County woman is facing a multitude of charges after reportedly admitting to breaking into several vehicles in Brookland earlier this month.
Karissa Angelique Gregg of Trumann was arrested on suspicion of five counts of breaking or entering and five counts of theft of property after an investigation by Brookland police.
According to a probable cause affidavit, at least five vehicles were broken into near Hayes Street and East School Street on the evening of March 25 and early on March 26. Police later spoke with a witness, who told police they saw an older-model Ford F-150 pickup truck leave the area.
Surveillance video also tied the truck to the scene, police said.
Both Brookland and Paragould police worked on the case and Gregg was arrested by Paragould police early the next morning after a vehicle break-in/theft in progress there, the probable cause affidavit noted.
Paragould detectives were able to recover the items taken during the Brookland break-ins, while a juvenile was also arrested in connection with the case.
A $5,000 bond was set for Gregg, who will be arraigned May 25 in circuit court.
