JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A teen died Monday night after she lost control of her car and crashed in South Jonesboro.

According to a news release from the Jonesboro Police Department, a 17-year-old girl was heading north on South Caraway Road at around 9:25 p.m.

The teen topped a hill and crossed the center line into oncoming traffic.

She lost control, went off the road, and into the yard of a home in the 6500-block of South Caraway Road.

The teen's 2007 Nissan 350Z then spun sideways and crashed into a concrete culvert at the house's driveway.

The Craighead County coroner responded to the scene and the teen was pronounced dead.

Jonesboro Police and Fire Departments along with Medic One Ambulance Service responded to the scene.
