MOUNTAIN VIEW, AR (KAIT) - When Stone County Sheriff Lance Bonds and his deputies responded to a house fire this week, they found a naked man standing outside, yelling, "I burned it to the ground."
On Wednesday, April 4, the sheriff's office responded to a structure fire in the 600-block of Sawmill Road in Mountain View.
When they arrived, according to a news release, the sheriff and his investigators were greeted by 56-year-old Foy Densmore standing next to the fully engulfed home, naked.
"Densmore was acting extremely excited and giddy," Bonds said.
According to the sheriff, Densmore stated: "I burned it to the ground."
A deputy handcuffed Densmore and took him to the detention center where he read his Miranda rights and interviewed.
"Densmore stated he was upset because he had been asked to leave the residence," the sheriff said. "Therefore, he set fire to the residence and burned it."
Densmore is being held on suspicion of arson, a Class Y felony, awaiting a bond.
Bonds said the residence appears to be a total loss.
