JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The Jonesboro Health, Wellness, and Environmental Science Magnet School held their annual plant sale Friday.
Students and the public were able to buy flowers, vegetables, and herbs that the children helped grow.
Selene Stanley, a fifth-grader, said she plans to continue using the gardening skills she learned in the elementary school.
"Because it shows you how important plants are in our life and how pretty they can be and how useful they can be," Stanley said.
The money raised at the plant sale helps fund the gardening program at the school.
It also helps to buy supplies for the nutrition classes, where they use some of the vegetables grown at the school.
Annually, the sale raises about $3,000.
