Terrell found guilty, sentenced to 23 years in prison on first-degree murder

HARRISBURG, AR (KAIT) - According to 2nd Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney Scott Ellington, a Marked Tree man was found guilty Thursday afternoon of first-degree murder in the Nov. 2014 death of a Tyronza man.

Christopher Terrell was arrested in connection with the death of James Hunt of Tyronza. Hunt died from a gunshot wound and was also run over by a truck that had been burned, authorities said at the time.

Terrell was sentenced to 23 years in prison for the murder, Ellington said.

The jury deliberated nearly two and a half hours before finding Terrell guilty.
