MARKED TREE, AR (KAIT) -

A search Thursday night in Marked Tree netted authorities drugs, drug paraphernalia and two people in custody, Poinsett County Sheriff Kevin Molder said.

Steven McCauley and Kara D. Gibbs, both of Marked Tree, were arrested around 11:30 p.m. Thursday after Poinsett County deputies served a search warrant at a home in the 200-block of 11th Street in Marked Tree.

Molder said deputies discovered meth, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and prescription pills without a prescription during the search, with the items seized from the home.

McCauley was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance-meth, possession of a controlled substance-marijuana, three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of a no-contact order. Gibbs was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance-meth, possession of a controlled substance-marijuana, three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance-pills and aiding consummation of offense (safeguarding McCauley).

"There was an active no-contact order in place against McCauley that said he was to stay 100 yards away from four protective parties that live on 11th Street," Molder said in a news release. "All live within 100 yards of where McCauley was living."

A $125,000 bond was set Friday for McCauley, while a $15,000 bond was set for Gibbs, Molder said.
