Earlier this week, the NWS confirmed that EF1 tornadoes struck in Craig County in western Virginia and near Danville in southern Virginia. EF1 tornadoes pack winds of 86 to 110 mph.

No tornadoes were reported in the Richmond area, but parts of the region saw tornado warnings from 9 p.m. until nearly midnight.

The storms knocked several trees onto homes in Chesterfield.

No serious injuries were reported during the storms.
