PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) - One Greene County boy received the surprise of his life Tuesday.
Thanks to a grant through the Make-A-Wish Foundation with the help of the Paragould High School Rotary Interact Club, three-year-old Elias will get to swim with dolphins next week, as well as attending an authentic luau and riding on a sunset cruise.
Elias was diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy, a condition that causes muscle weakness and results in them getting smaller.
His family said they're thankful for the time and donations from the students to help make the trip happen.
This will give Elias the chance to just be a regular kid.
"We're very humble and very grateful for everything these kids have done for us. They didn't know who they were doing it for, and that's what makes it even more special. They didn't know who it was for but they just did it with their heart."
