VILONIA, AR (KAIT/KATV) - Students in Vilonia are collecting personal items lost after a deadly tornado hit the town in 2014.

According to Little Rock ABC Affiliate KATV, some of the items have been found as far away as Tennessee and Missouri.

Students have collected 90,000 items over the last four years, and only have about 2,000 items, some pictures, left to be claimed.

The group launched the website AR Photos Reunited to help people reunite with their photos, birth and marriage certificates, and education diplomas.

Erin Rappold, the teacher who created the project, said she was inspired to start this project after finding a baby picture in the debris four years ago.

A memorial dedication planned by the students on April 27 to remember the victims of the 2011 and 2014 tornados.
