BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) - A lawsuit has been settled between the city of Blytheville and a man who claimed police violated his constitutional rights.

According to the Arkansas Municipal League, Jeremy Summers had alleged that the city's police officers had violated his 4th Amendment rights during a 2013 chase.

The suit alleged that an officer had used excessive force in setting up a roadblock, officials said. Summers was awarded $145,000, of which the city of Blytheville will pay $50,000 with the Arkansas Municipal League paying the remainder.
