BONO, AR (KAIT) - Parents and kids, especially children, should be aware of the dangers that can be seen and found online, a community educator from the Arkansas Attorney General's office said Wednesday.
Kristina Carnes spoke to people at Herman Baptist Church in Bono about internet safety, giving tips for parents and children to use. Carnes presented information on sexting, including information about online predators.
The church hosted the event to help educate residents about the topic.
"Every day, it seems like we see pictures of teens missing on Facebook and it seems to be something that's happening more and more. And we don't want to see any of our kids' face on Facebook," the church's senior pastor, Randy Stimach, said.
Officials with the Attorney General's office also presented internet safety brochures and booklets to people who attended the meeting.
