Sheriff: Search warrants yield drugs, arrests

TYRONZA, AR (KAIT) -

A search of three homes in Tyronza led to the arrests of three people.

Wednesday afternoon, the Tyronza Police Department and Poinsett County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a home on Pocahontas Street.

Following the search, officers arrested 34-year-old Michelle Hood of Tyronza and 40-year-old Shane Lowry of Marked Tree.

Hood is being held on the following charges:

  • Two counts of delivery of a controlled substance (meth),
  • Possession of a controlled substance (meth),
  • Possession of a Schedule I or II controlled substance (hydrocodone),
  • Possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance,
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia-felony and
  • Unlawful use of a communication device.

Lowry is being held on suspicion of:

  • Possession of a controlled substance (meth),
  • Possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance and
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia-felony

Officers also conducted a search of two neighboring homes where Sheriff Kevin Molder said they found “suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.”

Investigators arrested Crystal Jenkins, 35, on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance (meth) and felony possession of drug paraphernalia.

Officers also cited and released David Dickerson on a misdemeanor drug paraphernalia charge following a search of his residence.

    According to Randolph County Sheriff Gary Tribble, a person was being held Sunday in the Randolph County jail after being taken into custody by Arkansas State Police in connection with the deaths of two people.
