FORREST CITY, AR (KAIT) - A woman is accused of being an accomplice to attempted murder after police say she was behind the wheel when a gunman opened fire on a man twice.
On March 31, Forrest City police responded to a shooting at a local hotel. The victim told investigators that Roderick Tiswell opened fire on him following an altercation.
The man claimed 23-year-old Kyiesha Wonsley drove Tiswell to his location.
Two days later, the same victim reported being shot at on Seaton Drive, according to a news release from the police department. Investigators say children had just been released from a nearby school when the shooting took place, putting them in harm's way.
After the victim and several witnesses identified Wonsley as once again being the driver, a First Judicial District Circuit Court judge issued a warrant for her arrest.
On Monday, April 16, officers arrested Wonsley after she was involved in an altercation at a local business.
She is charged with:
- Accomplice to attempted first-degree murder
- Accomplice to aggravated assault
- Accomplice to unlawful discharge
- First-degree endangering the welfare of a minor
Tiswell remains at large with two active warrants for his arrest, according to police. Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call police at 870-633-3434 or Crime Stoppers at 870-261-1499.
FCPD says he should be considered "armed and dangerous."
