WEST MEMPHIS, AR (KAIT) - The work at an interchange ramp in Crittenden County will force state highway officials to close an exit in West Memphis for several days, weather permitting.

According to the Arkansas Department of Transportation, the routine maintenance on the I-40 interchange ramp will close Exit 280 from 11 p.m., Sunday, April 22 and will remain closed until 4 a.m. Tuesday, April 24.

Crews will be working to conduct nightly closures of the westbound Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. off-ramp to do the maintenance, highway officials said Friday.

Drivers will need to use Exit 281 to access Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. in West Memphis, with highway officials asking drivers to exercise caution when going through work zones.
