LITTLE ROCK, AR (KAIT/KARK) - One of two suspects charged in the shooting death of a two-year-old girl in Nov. 2016 pleaded guilty to first-degree murder charges in Pulaski Circuit Court Monday.
According to a report from NBC affiliate KARK, a judge sentenced Deshaun Rushing to 30 years in prison following his guilty plea.
Two-year-old Ramiya Reed was riding in a car when Rushing shot into the vehicle, killing Reed and sparking violent crime across Little Rock.
According to prosecutors, Reed's family is "happy" with the sentence.
Another man, Larry James Jackson, also faces murder charges in Reed's death.
