JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The Academies at Jonesboro High School received recognition Wednesday for its work in building a "wall-to-wall" nationally certified Model Academy.
According to a post on the school's Facebook page, the high school underwent a certification process to receive the honor. Each academy was reviewed on an individual basis, with all three now certified.
"This certification comes from the National Career Academy Coalition and JHS is one of only two high schools in Arkansas with this status," the post noted.
Several guest speakers, including A-State Chancellor Dr. Kelly Damphousse, also spoke during the event.
