Police investigating whether shootings are related

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Jonesboro police are still investigating whether a shooting early Thursday morning was related to two others on Wednesday night.

According to Jonesboro Police Sgt. David McDaniel, officers responded to a home on Joy Lane, off of Prospect Road, around 1 a.m. Thursday.

There, they found a house with bullet holes in it. Nobody was injured in that shooting.

One suspect was arrested for a terroristic act at that scene, though.

That suspect's name has not been released, yet.

McDaniel said the department is investigating whether that shooting, a shooting at the Chateau Apartments, and a shooting on French Street are related.

"At this point in time, we're not prepared to make any kind of assumption, which is what it would be," McDaniel said. "Without the evidence to back up any kind of speculation or anything we're not prepared to make a statement with that regard, but like I said, we are following leads. There are several leads of information that we are following. We've collected numerous articles of evidence. All of it is being processed. These things do take time. Hopefully, if a connection can be made we will be able to do that."

McDaniel said if anyone has information on any of these three incidents, they are urged to call Crimestoppers at 935-STOP.
