(KAIT/ABC) - Four years ago today, a devastating EF4 tornado ripped through Central Arkansas.
The twister touched down just after 6pm on April 27th, 2014 and carved a path 41 miles long through Vilonia and Mayflower. The storm's nearly 200mph winds killed 16 people and hurt 193.
Many in Vilonia had just rebuilt from 2011's EF2 tornado that killed four.
This EF4 was part of a three-day, widespread tornado outbreak over the southern US. The damage from the outbreak cost the south more than a billion dollars.
