RANDOLPH COUNTY, AR (KAIT) -

Officials in Randolph County are trying to help citizens be prepared for disasters.

The Office of Emergency Management and Randolph County 911 are teaming up to host the expo.

Randolph County OEM Coordinator Brandon Graham said he hopes many citizens attend the expo.

"Randolph County has seen its share of emergencies and disasters," he said.

Graham said he hopes the expo will help people be more proactive when it comes to preparing for emergencies.

"We're teaming up together to provide information to our citizens so we can be more resilient when these emergencies and disasters do happen," he said.

The expo will be held on Saturday from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Randolph County Development Center.

"The best time to prepare for a disaster is before the disaster and these organizations and agencies are coming out and they're giving information on what you can do now to help prepare for later," he said.

The expo will include 30 booths, as well as a blood drive, a prescription take-back event and much more.
