JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Laikyn Willett died in a car crash several weeks ago, but her friends and family are still honoring the teen.

The group organized a youth revival in her honor, because she always shared her love of Jesus with others.

They are hoping thousands of teens will show up to hear the message of the gospel.

"We just encourage everyone to come this has really become somewhat of a movement since Laikyn's death," said family friend Shellee Morris.

The Encounter Revival is being held at The Epic Center in Jonesboro.

It began on Sunday night, there will also be services on Monday and Tuesday at 7 p.m.

"We're really hoping that this will go well and it will be the first of many events like this because we really want to take this tragedy and turn it into something good," said Morris.  "You know it really needs to happen."

The group also started a GoFundMe account to help fund the youth revival.

They plan to keep holding services as long as funding is available.
