JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The Jonesboro City Council voted Tuesday to waive competitive bidding and approve the purchase of repair services at the Earl Bell Community Center.
The ordinance states concrete pieces in the front of the entrance to the building needs to be repaired immediately.
The precast concrete had deteriorated to the point of allowing water leakage into the building. It also states they are in danger of falling onto visitors.
The repairs are estimated to cost $80,000 but no more than $100,000.
The ordinance was adopted with the emergency clause.
