JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A Jonesboro man faces an aggravated assault charge after police say he pulled a BB gun and threatened several people.
Just before noon Monday, officers were called to Cedar Heights regarding a man in a blue Dodge Charger pulling a gun.
The victims claimed 30-year-old Dawn Martel Hamilton pulled out a handgun, racked it, and started walking toward them pointing the gun in a "threatening manner."
According to court documents, the victims "did not appear to know it was a BB gun" and thought it was real.
Officer Kiandra McCain contacted Hamilton in his car and he handed her the black BB handgun.
During a parole search of his apartment, Hamilton reportedly told McCain, "I ain't going to lie, I did pull the gun."
On Tuesday, Craighead County District Judge David Boling found probable cause to charge Hamilton and ordered him to appear in circuit court on June 29.
