CRAIGHEAD COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - A woman's ex-boyfriend might not have stolen her heart, but deputies say he did steal her credit cards.
On Feb. 2, the victim reported to the Craighead County Sheriff's Office that her debit card had been used to purchase several items online without her permission.
The woman listed her ex-boyfriend, 33-year-old Anthony Wade Calhoun, as a possible suspect.
According to court documents, a sheriff's detective checked the woman's banking account and found multiple fraudulent charges totaling $1,244.76.
The affidavit stated Calhoun used the card to pay for his cell phone account and to purchase items from Amazon and American Eagle. The detective noted that Calhoun used his personal email address on at least one purchase and the items were shipped to his home address in Paragould.
On Wednesday, Calhoun appeared before Craighead County District Judge Tommy Fowler on a bench warrant where found probable cause had been found to charge him with fraudulent use of a credit card and theft of property-credit/debit card number.
Calhoun is being held in the Craighead County Detention Center on a $1,500 cash/surety bond, awaiting a June 29 appearance in circuit court.
