SEARCY, AR (KAIT) - A group of law enforcement officers from the Searcy Police Department, and Arkansas State Police took several students from Searcy High School to prom.

According to our content partners at KATV in Little Rock, first reported on the special night.

None of the girls had dates to prom - they were going to go by themselves. But then Julia Bullock, a former member of law enforcement hatched an idea that would create a memory these girls will never forget.

"Every girl deserves to feel special and beautiful and loved whenever they go to prom," Jocelyn Pannell, Transitional Age Program Coordinator of the organization, "The Call," said.

Bullock and her husband are a part of a program where they mentor older kids in the foster care system.
