Survival is the starting point of a personal journey that empowers you to make every outdoor place your home. Whether you are an outdoor enthusiast or just a beginner, knowing basic survival skills is a great tool to have. During this workshop, participants will learn basic skills in how to make and use a bow drill and friction fire, where to find and how to identify edible plants, how to make and throw atlatls, and how to make cordage out of natural materials. This workshop will take place at Pavilion 3 on Saturday, May 12th from 10am-2:30pm. All participants are asked to wear long pants and closed toed shoes, bring a sack lunch, and be 12 years old and older. All materials will be supplied.
