Authorities investigate Blytheville shooting, possible connection with Jonesboro murder

BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) - Blytheville police are searching for a shooting suspect Saturday and are investigating whether or not that shooting was connected to a murder in Jonesboro last month.

According to Blytheville Police Chief Ross Thompson, Blytheville police went to the 500 block of East Rose Street around 2:30 p.m. Saturday after getting a call about shots being fired.

Officers found Thomas Razor of Jonesboro had been shot, Thompson said. Razor was airlifted to a Memphis hospital. Thompson said Sunday that Razor was in stable but critical condition.

However, Thompson did say police are looking into the case further.

"At this time, we are looking into a possible connection between this incident and the April 25th shooting death of Devontae Dewayne Fowler of Jonesboro," Thompson said. "We will be coordinating our investigation with the Jonesboro Police Department."

Fowler was shot at the Chateau Apartments in Jonesboro and died a day later at a local hospital. Jonesboro authorities are investigating that case as a murder.
