JEFFERSON CITY, MO (KAIT) - Missouri lawmakers hope to push through a legislative right-to-work bill to the legislative session before the deadline May 18.

Wednesday night, two House Committees approved the proposed constitutional amendment.

If the law passes, workers could choose if they want to join unions, which means no longer requiring any union fees for any jobs.

The full House could vote on the bill as soon as this week, which would then send the bill to the Senate.
