POINSETT COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - A woman told police that she was beaten, tied up, taken to West Memphis and dropped her off while one of two suspects held a gun to her head, Poinsett County authorities said Friday.
Jessica Armstrong and Tanner Scott Holman, both of Trumann, were arrested May 9 on suspicion of kidnapping in connection with an April 25 incident in West Memphis.
According to an incident report from the Poinsett County Sheriff's Office, the victim was able to talk to West Memphis police about what happened.
"Officer McGill stated that the victim said that Tanner Holman had put a gun to her head, beat her and then tied her up," the affidavit noted.
The victim told police that she had been staying in the Tulot area for about three weeks with friends, when Holman got mad at the victim for coming on to Armstrong, the affidavit noted.
"Holman jumped on [the victim] and started hitting her and then suspect Jessica Armstrong started hitting her," police said in the affidavit. "Once they had beaten her, suspect Holman and Armstrong then tied her up and took her phone."
The victim then got to a phone and called a friend in West Memphis to pick her up, but no contact was made with the friend, police said.
However, she was later able to get help and called police.
