JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Jonesboro police arrested a man on suspicion of dealing drugs after they found more than 200 grams of pot in his kitchen.
Officers with the Street Crimes Unit received a tip that 31-year-old Cordero Harris was selling marijuana inside a home in the 700-block of Flint Street.
Knowing that he is on probation for previous delivery charges, SCU investigators went to the home Thursday and conducted a search.
Officers found 222 grams of loose marijuana, valued at $2,200, on the kitchen counter along with a digital scale, according to the initial incident report. In a cabinet above the counter, officers found another digital scale, Ziploc bags, and $590 in cash.
Officers arrested Harris and took him to the Craighead County Detention Center.
On Friday, District Judge Tommy Fowler found probable cause to charge him with possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance with the purpose to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Harris is being held on a $5,000 cash/surety bond, awaiting a June 29 appearance in circuit court.
