Alison Krauss to perform at Johnny Cash Heritage Festival

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

An accomplished bluegrass musician, who is a member of the Grand Ole Opry, will perform later this year at a music festival in Mississippi County in honor of Johnny Cash. 

According to A-State officials, Alison Krauss, who has sold 12 million records, will be part of the Johnny Cash Heritage Festival Oct. 18-20 in Dyess.

Krauss is one of several artists who will perform at the festival this year, including singer/songwriter Jamey Johnson, producer/performer John Carter Cash and artist Ana Cristina Cash. 

Krauss has won 27 Grammy awards, nine Country Music Association awards and 14 International Bluegrass Music Association awards in her career.
