Man arrested in sodomy case

STEELE, MO (KAIT) -

A Southeast Missouri man was being held in the Pemiscot County jail Friday with no bond after his arrest on suspicion of five counts of sodomy or attempted sodomy 1st degree, authorities said. 

According to a post on the Steele Police Department's Facebook page, Johnny W. Lacey of Caruthersville was arrested by Steele police and Pemiscot County deputies after an investigation.

Lacey was arrested on a warrant, charging him with five counts of sodomy or attempted sodomy 1st degree - victim less than 12 years. In the post, Steele Police Chief Billy Joe Stanfield said the arrest was part of an investigation by Steele officer Eric Reno and Pemiscot County deputy Jon Grays. 

Both Reno and Grays filed the charge with the county's prosecuting attorney, Stanfield said.
