JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Many gathered on the Arkansas State University campus Saturday for spring commencement.
A record number of more than 2,200 degrees were given to hard-working graduates at the commencement ceremony.
Several Red Wolves said they were thrilled to finally have their degree in-hand.
"I just got excited today," Nehemiah Wagner, an A-State graduate, said.
"It just hit me when I walked in the door," Brandon Byner, a graduate said.
Family members filled First National Bank Arena to cheer on their loved ones.
Maria Etters said she graduated Saturday with a bachelor's degree in science and business administration.
Etters had a large crowd at graduation to help her celebrate the milestone event.
"I have seven people coming," Etters said. "Yeah, I'm first generation of my family to graduate."
