JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Jonesboro police arrested a man on Mother's Day after they say he put a knife to his mom's throat and threatened to kill her.
At 10:45 a.m. officers were called to the 1400-block of Huntington Avenue regarding a domestic disturbance with a knife.
The victim told police her son, 20-year-old Lance Cole Bolin, put a knife to her throat and pulled it across her throat. She said he then called her an expletive and said, "I'll kill you the same way I'll kill me."
The woman said Bolin had used a broken knife to threaten her, and described it as a "bare blade."
According to the probable cause affidavit, officers detained Bolin outside the home and found the knife on him during a search.
On Monday, Craighead County District Judge David Boling found probable cause to charge Bolin with aggravated assault on a family or household member and set his bond at $1,500 cash/surety.
