MOUNTAIN HOME, AR (KAIT) - Baxter County deputies arrested a Mountain Home man who they have been looking for on Saturday on an outstanding warrant.
According to a news release from the sheriff's office, deputies obtained a warrant for the arrest of Dusty Rhoades after an investigation into two separate domestic violence incidents between Rhoades and his wife.
On May 1, the victim said Rhoades hit her twice with a wooden stick, and his shoes causing injuries and then threatened her with a knife.
Then on May 7, the victim met with Rhoades at a hotel in Mountain Home to try and get more property back from him.
During that incident, the victim alleges Rhoades choked her and hit her again.
She received treatment at a local hospital for her injuries.
Late Saturday evening, Rhoades was spotted by officers near Mountain Home, where he then ran into the woods from them.
The canine tracking team from the Arkansas Department of Correction was called in and Rhoades was found a short time later.
Rhoades was booked into the Baxter County Detention Center on charges of aggravated assault on a family or household member, third-degree domestic battery, first-degree terroristic threatening, harassment, and fleeing.
His bond was set at $17,980. He will appear in circuit court on May 17.
