HARRISBURG, AR (KAIT) -

A search warrant for a van turned up 54.7 pounds of marijuana.

According to a probable cause affidavit, authorities received a tip that Michael Chris Bowlin had eight pounds of marijuana in a maroon van parked at the 800-block of E. South Street in Harrisburg and that he made deliveries of marijuana.

Authorities searched the van and uncovered 54.7 pounds of pot from the van and $1,144 on Bowlin's person.

Later, a search by Harrisburg police of Bowlin's home at the 200-block of Peach Street resulted in a seizure of $200,000.

Bowlin was taken to the Craighead County Detention Center and held on a delivery of controlled substance charge, a Class C felony.

He is expected to appear in court again on June 29.
